Chateau du Plessis-Bourré is a castle located in the commune of Écuillé in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the Loire Valley in France. Built in less than 5 years from 1468 to 1472 by the finance minister Jean Bourré the principal advisor to King Louis XI, has not been externally modified since its construction and still has a fully functional drawbridge. Classified as a historical monument, it was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 2000.
